Spotlight Ride: my mini - Click HERE for Original Thread

Texmex
eh thought I would post some pics up im a bit board.

a little about my car. its a Rover mini it has the latest installment of the 1335cc engine(1275 with a 60 bore) twin SU carbs. straight cut gear box, road rally cam, and a ton of other goodies.

for ice i have a 10w6 Jl sub with a A1400 jl amp. i threw a CB radio in it for kicks, and i plan on getting some nice bucket seats.

at the moment its my daily driver but i still consider it a project, lots i want to do. i would like to do some performace rallies with it, but at the moment just Rally X and TSD rallies.

so heres pic

Props on the original car!!

What kind of numbers does it make?

flatboy
Fuck'n cool man:thumbup:

I miss my mini:( but it might come back to life this summer if I get off my ass and put it back together. A well warmed 1380 with a weber 45 makes it a killer.

love the old school,

and watch out for big trucks:mad:

going to find out exact numbers this summer. my car is only ruffly 1000pounds. but im happy cause i used to only have 35hp with my old 998cc motor. just put the new motor in last week, and i love the power it gives, but no full throtle yet still breaking it in, but i want to.

oh and as for trucks ya i know ive had the mini for just over a year.

you should be baggin the car for a motor break in to insure the rings seat accordingly. looks great though.

Are you sure that's a proper break-in method? Or, Just the one you believe in?

You could always call laskey racing if you disagree....I am assuming this this a fresh internal motor? if not and it is just a swap then i wouldn't recommend it. If it is freshly rebuilt then bag it from the first start up.

Again... Just an opinion...

I've done both... Didn't make a difference either way...
