| well i was washing the civic at hughes wandwash since the weather finally cleared up, and i just finished and got in to back out. i start backing up and some girl in a massive ford expedition or something was backing up through the main alley. i saw her coming so i tried to throw it in first and get into my stall asap, but i was too late. i felt the hit and it moved the ass end of the civic over like a foot. after much swearing and smacking the dash i got out and some super hot french girl walks up to me and asks if she needs to get her info. i looked over my rear quarter panel and there is a fair size dent and a mark on my rear part of the aero kit. buffable though. so basically no paint damage and a dent that should be able to be pulled out. im guessing like $200. i grabbed her info and told her i will get a quote on monday. she claimed full fault. she moved here from quebec like a week ago. fuck im pissed though. the car only has like 2000km's on it. i will post a pic tomorrow. its too dark to get a good one. |

| um, hate to tell you this but that is not a $200 fix. I had a dent 1/4 of that on my rear quarter and it was just over a thousand, although mine did have some paint flaked off at the bottom. I think you will need a re-spray anyways because when they pop it back out it will crack, sucks that it happened to a new car. |

well whatever it is her insurance is paying for it so i could care less if they replace the whole panel. im going to transform and dougs for a quote. possibly jim young collision too because it is across the street from dougs and they just fixed my dads suv and did a awesome job. it just sucks wait times for shops are so long right now. |

| Try to settle outside of Insurance. If you go through Insurance, and they realize that you were both backing up it's 50-50. No matter what the quote is tell her that her Insurance will go up if he files a claim, and it would be cheapest for her to settle privatly.... Doesn't really matter that she accepted fault. |

| ya i know. last person i want to contact is my insurance agent. i told her don't phone anyone until i call her with a quote as if its cheap enough she could just pay me off. she seemed dumb though lol. she has no idea how insurance works around here, so im in a pretty good spot. she was asking me what i needed, and who to call and what she should do, etc. it it does go through insurance i will make sure only her company gets contacted. my company never has to know. and technically i was in 1st gear when she hit me lol. she didn't even know i was backing up. she thought i was sitting there waiting for her. i don't know how well that will go with insurance though. |

| If it does go through Insurane and you have problems, let me know. In your statement mke sure you say that you were in first gear AND PULLING FORWARD. You are conidered to be backing, until you are in the forward motion....Stupid rule, but thats how it works |

well i got my 1st quote from jim young collision.

i just think they don't want the work due to how busy they are so they quoted out their ass. quote says things like remove quarter glass, remove sideskirt, rear bumper, rear bumper cover, taillight, then remove fender, repair and refinish, and put it all back together. the tail light has a VERY small scuff on the bottom corner (so small i could barely see it) and he asked me if i wanted a new tail light thrown into the quote. it was nuts. ive been talking to will at transform though and he said its minor and should be a easy fix. i am going to need paint though. she scuffed mine decently. i popped out most of it with my hand through the trunk though. |

| went to transform. will wants $1300 and that seems reasonable since the whole fender is going to be painted/ that corner of the car taken apart to get the fender off. i will call her tonight most likely and see what she says lol. |
