Hey gang!
I am going to try and make the meeting this thursday...finally. Something always seems to get in the way, accckkk.
Anyways I found a really good article on Auto Crossing. It covers all makes of Z cars and how to prepare them, etc.
I'll bring some copies to the meeting.

Topics coming up at the meeting:
Spring Fun Run - Sun, May 25th? (I think) - Tim is heading this one.
DTP - Sat, June 14th. Still need a team "captain" to coordinate, and a list of volunteers to enter their cars in the show.
Reynolds Museum - Sun, June 15th. Rendezvous details with WRMC forthcoming.
Show n' Shine - Sat, June 21st. Location TBD. Hopefully the "committee" is ready.
Slalom Dates - I should know soon. Looks like we'll have a couple in June, but probably not at Namao.
(Note for members intending to come to Jeff's Stratotech event in July, it is STRONGLY recommend you attend at least one of our slaloms first). |

I have developed a very annoying rattle from under the car, sounds like it's comming from near the back of the motor on the driver side. I've done some searching on TT.net and suspect a lose heat shield or bolt some where. It sounds like a bunch of empty pop cans rattling around very briefly at around 3-4000RPM for only a second.

| Ya, I used have this problem with my old Accord. The heat shield would get rocks in it and would rattle around. It made noise only when the vibration got to apoint where it would shuffle the gravel around. I just had it removed. Just a thought. |

I am going to be organizing again this year. Anyone can PM me for specific questions.
It will be a first come first serve for entries. We are going to try and keep it limited to 12 cars as it was pretty jammed last year, however, I am going to be speaking with the DTP rep about expanding our space somewhat.
It would be nice if we could get a representation of the Z car line through the years (240s, 260s, etc) though I'm sure we would be open to having some unique older Datsun models in there as well, afterall the Fairlady line goes back to 1959 in many different incarnations.
Myself and Jeff have expressed interest in putting cars in. Once we get to 12, I'll see if we can get more in based on space limitations.
I will keep everyone updated.
