1991 Eagle Talon TSI-$780 - Click HERE for Original Thread

EvilColt
I've got to sell some of my "Projects", some completed, some not...here's the first:

1991 Eagle Talon TSI FWD
252,xxx KM
4G63 Turbocharged engine
Grey Exterior/Grey interior
5 speed standard

Now for pictures:

So, here's the bad news, some of which you can see in the pictures....
-Front plastic pieces, including center section, are absent. Same with rear reverse lights and marker lights.
-Water pump on the engine is toast (bearings completely shot). Engine does run, and runs smoothly, and clutch and tranny work quite well. Obviously I didn't run it long once I saw the waterpump.
-Some rust. Top of both front wheelwells and 1 rear wheel.
-Interior (dash particularly) missing a few bits and some are painted. Easily replaced, in fact I have most of the parts to do so. Seats were removed at one point and aren't fully bolted in, (3 of 4 bolts in on one, rear seat top not bolted in)
-No battery. Get one cheap at battery doctor if you want or use your spare...doesn't everyone have a spare?
-Flat tire on Driver Front. Just not sealed to the rim...cleaning the contact bead and reinflating might fix, it might not as there are some dings in the rims.

Lots of little things to do, but once they're done it'll be a quick car that's a hoot to drive. I bought it this last winter and never got around to finishing it, and I've now got 6 DSM's, so this one isn't going to get done.
Any other questions let me know!

I am mostly in need of the entire engine. compression still good???

and did you overheat it at all???

PM me please. I am interested

I've got an entire 6-bolt 4G63T engine sitting in my buddies garage from my laser...it could use valve seals, but other than that ran great, including a newly-replaced 14b turbo. If all you want is an engine, that would be a better route...cheaper too

Engine never overheated to my knowledge...whenI first got it the waterpump/Alt belt was really loose, and there was a puddle of coolant under it. I only had to add 1.5L to it to get it back up to full, and I never ran it long enough to even warm it up. I drove it about a block to make sure the tranny shifted well and the engine ran smoothly, then parked it for 4 months.

Emptied my pm box out....sorry about that.

anschutz_93

All PM's replied....I'd much rather sell the whole car, being as it's complete and all.....

Send me your reasonable offers....and a reasonable offer is not "what is everyone else offering, because maybe I can go $5 more".
