So the summer swing of Epic Movies begins with Ironman this Friday. Like most movie geeks I will be there opening night. Anyone else going? Anyone looking forward to this movie?
UPDATE- Saw this movie tonight. It was worth the wait in line and worth every penny. If you like super hero flicks, you'll love this one. Robert Downey did a fantastic job as Tony Stark the suit is frickin sweet, the CGI was flawless and the story line was pretty decent. There weren't any cheesy one liners that stunk like 20 year old gouda.
Also be sure to stay in your seat after the credits finish, there is extra footage at the end. Personally, it pissed me off for ONE reason but it sets up the next movie. |

| Went and bought tickets right after work yesterday for the 7 o'clock showing. Not many people were too happy with me and the buds as we went right past the line and into the theater :thumbup: The lineup was out the door and around the side of the building! |

Well, the movie certainly did NOT suck thankfully.
It was actually pretty good.
There is a little blurb at the end of the credits for those of you who stayed to watch.
I won't post any spoilers, but all I can say is booo-urns. |

SO what does every one think of Nick Fury? Personally it drives me fucking bananas, they could have chosen someone better than Samuel Jackson. ANYONE whether they are black or not, is better than him. But why did they choose a black man to play a white guys role? Again!!! *cough* Kingpin*cough* IDK, it bothered me a bit. Because S. Jackson isn't that good of an actor, IMO, and we will see one of his famous, stern, lectures at least once in the next movie. But whatever, besides this minor hiccup, it was a greta movie and I refuse to let it bother me :D

| Sam Jackson is one of the biggest typecast actors ever, and I love it, absolutely love it... I mean - look at his work with "SNAKES ON A PLANE" pure genius. Hollywood sucks, but it's shit like putting Sam Jackson in this movie that makes me actually want to watch, seriously. |

In the "Ultimates" universe in Marvel Comics, Nick Fury is black.
It would have been awesome if they had used the Nick Fury from the regular lineage though....dude is probably the biggest bad-ass in Marvel.
