Guys,
I need your advice here....let me just give you an idea of what's been hapenning....
1. When I turn my lights on using the light switch (intermittently it has lights but most of the time the headlight just stays up with no lights). THIS IS BEFORE....
2. NOW....it won't even work....so I followed the HAYNES manual and try to short out the retractable relay (pin 8 to negative... the headlight stays up with lights)...then I switched to (pin 6..lights go out....headlight stays up)...next I removed the negative but the HEADLIGHT still stays up....
HAYNES MANUAL says to replace the RETRACTABLE RELAY...
WHAT have I done....
1. Called up toyota dealer (charging me $251 CDN for the darn retractable relay)
2. Went to junkyard and found one ....BUT still problem is not solved.
3. I'll try to replace the LIGHT switch tomorrow...I hope this solves the problem...
The question now is.....WHAT IF IT STILL DOESN'T WORK....Guys..I really ,really appreciate your help here...'coz I can't drive my 2 at night
Do you think the problem lies on the headlight motors? Actually, the retractable motor is working 'coz when I try to FLASH the high beam...it stays up but when you release the high beam switch..the headlight never goes down
