It reminds me of that one mustang build that was liked here a while ago, where the guy was not only replacing the skins with C/F but also all the Frame/supports/backings, or whatever you want to call them.

elvis
so the frame is made of carbon fibre?!
isnt carbon fibre really flimsy how does that work?!

If you were asking about my comment, I was mot talking about the actual car frame, but the frames/supports in the doors and roof, and C/F I much stronger than Steel

Would this car be a good platform for Time attack though? From what I remember I haven't seen too many Supras in Japan running Time Attack. Just wondering.

Especially the low weight high HP, I would hope he doesn't run into traction issues. Even with those huge meaty tires. IDK, it's a cool car and the build up is like looking at a work of art but I am a bit skeptical how this thing will perform on the track against other cars especially AWD cars.

I think it's more of a "show car/time attack". Cause your right I can't see it being a very effective track car.

XtraX
wow that's alot of work. I can't wait to see the final product.

It definitely will look cool when it's complete and I could see them making $ale$ for the carbon fiber pieces they made, now that they have a mold.

It says somewhere in that thread that the guy is already getting flooded with orders for the full carbon kit. So it's more than paid itself off already.

ZEguy
Hope he mentions at some point how much this costs him:blink:

2HIGH~PSI
wow thats awesome..lots of time and effort put into that car!!! cant wait to see it upon completion...

tokes
You can barely hook up a GT47-80 on a US drag strip on slicks in a straight line. On a Scandinavian airstrip road course? Not a chance.
