| I begrudgingly bought an Ipod recently, mainly for music vids and movies. Well I have owned it for 3 days and have managed to accidently load all my music on it and have somehow managed to load exactly one music video and I have no Idea how. I am ready to throw this piece of shit threw a fucking window right away. My problem is I know how to convert a video file that I have imported into Itunes to a video that can be used by ipods, and from there I know how to simply drag and drop onto my ipod and sync it, that is also easy. my fucking problem is that Itunes wont import my damn files. I try to go into the menu and add files, and it wont, i try to add folders and it wont, i then try to import and it wont. What the hell am I doing wrong? like I said I got one file in but I dont even know why it let me do that, the file is the exact same type as the other ones. Any help from Ipod vets before I blast this damn thing? And also as a side note. Itunes is about the biggest piece of shit software I have ever used in my life. I seems to suck resources like a motherfucker and has crashed my system 4 times since I loaded it. Not a single problem till I loaded this software and now I have fucking blue screens popping up at least once a day. |

PC I'm assuming?
What are the file types you're trying to upload?

| I have tried mpg2, mpg4 avi and divx. I have tried running them through external video convertors like Jodix and have tried running them through the convertor built into itunes. When I can get the itunes one to convert the file then I can load it but the problem lies that in my itunes library i have only one selectable video file, it wont let me add anyothers. And yes its a PC |

I say screw Itunes and turn on disk access then just dump files into the folders through My Computer.
My wife uses PQ DVD, but it's not free, she's gone rip happy... ripping 3 -4 movies at a time right now, but it'll do from other video format to Ipod friendly |

| Can I do disk access and load videos that are gonna be viewable on the ipod or will it only act as hard drive storage |

Once you enable disk access you'll be able to see the file structure, and as long as the videos are in an Ipod friendly format and put them in the video folder(same with MP3s, put them in the MP3 folder) it should work fine.
If I remember correctly there is a folder for just "files" if you want to use it as a portable storage device as well. |
