Hey guys,
Well I discovered yesterday the area behind the driver seat, where the left rear mounting bracket for the seat bolts in, the carpet there was soaked! But the only part in the car that was wet was that recessed area. I pulled all the interior panels off in case I could find the leaks that way but nothing. I poured water in every spot of the the T-top drain holes and I found nothing. I used the windshield washer sprayers and the hatch sprayer for a solid minute and still nothing....:( :dunno: Any ideas where it's coming from?
I think it's time to cut my losses and find a different car to play with. I'm tired of fixing things ALL THE TIME! I wish I lived in BC so I could run the car to Z tune every time I need help. The Nissan dealership I use is way to busy to bother with small problems all the time. So I'm stuck chasing my damn tail in a circle trying to locate these stupid problems myself!
How much could I sell the Zed for? |

| Take it to a touchless automatic car wash and see where it drips inside. Or a friend of yours spilled their bottle of water and didnt mention it? |

$3.50.
;)
Dude, it can't be that big of a problem. Just soak everything up with a shop vac, dry it out and monitor the situation and see if it leaks again. If it does, just trace it and note if it was raining or you just washed the car, etc. |

ya i agree with taking it to a car wash and seeing there. thats where all my leaks show (from the Ttops) and in my pathfinder as well. it doesn't seem like a big leak and everything everyone has said so far is good info so i would just be repeating it.....
it does seem like a weird spot to be wet though. maybe someone was storing their snowballs in your car over the winter and forgot one and it melted there. that seems like the most logical reason.
oh and I totally could afford $10 and a blizzard!!! :p |

Wow Edwin!!! That's quick. Hey, fair enough. Sometimes it's just worth it to cut your losses.
Would you be looking at another Z32? There are always some nice clean cars for sale in the US on twinturbo.net. |

lol yeah, I was 17 when I got it...I just got off the phone with the guys dad and he says he's not interested in it anymore because he told his kid he didn't want him to get a powerful car for his first and I guess his son told him it wasn't at all and showed his father specs to the 240SX so he could trick his dad into getting the Z. Good news is, I'm keeping the car and won't be selling it, I guess I'm sticking to my original plans for the car....I'm addicted and I love it!:D

Now that's funny. How old is this kid?
Before I got my Z, I started seriously thinking of getting one when I was ~23, but I held back and thought my plan should be to hang on until I was at least 25 (for insurance purposes, etc.). Well I only lasted until I was 24 before I broke down and bought one. :D In the meantime during that interim year leading up to that I had bought a Prelude SR-V (the 190hp VTEC version) to try to bridge the gap between my Integra and the 'future' 300ZXTT.
And once I started test driving Z32s it was game over... nothing else was gonna do!! |

| He said he turned 17 in February. <----Dangerous stuff lol. But I was 17 when I bought mine, but I did have a lot of adventures in WRX's and STI's so I learned to respect power when I was 16ish. :) |
