hey guys. I just finished (so i thought) my 5 lug swap on my EG. now after finishing up and bleeding the brakes, i took it on a test drive and everything was fine, vehicle stopped on a dime and the pedal felt awesome. so i park it for about 10mins, then go to drive off and the brake pedal hits the floor. the vehicle still stopped but took about 3m to stop from 20km/h. whats going on? do i need to use a ITR master cylinder and brake boost? or just a prop valve? or somehere along the line my master cylinder crapped out??? any info would be great. thanks

Did you tighten all of you bleeder valves
Easiest thing would be to look where you have lost fluid. Is there break fluid on your driveway?
*Edit* just saw that breaks still kind of work... its probably an air bubble, bleed again. |

| ya, no leaks. bleed 2 more times after. what i didnt do tho, is remove the booster to see if the master leaked any into it. |

you know i had the same problem, when i bleed my brakes.
after i replaced the pads and seated them properly, they were so touchy, i mean i could lock the wheels at 60k/h with hardly pushing hard on the pedal.
then same thing, 20 min after it parked the car, they brakes were so soft.
i ended up bleeding again, and found no air bubbles in the whole system. i even took it to nissan and told them to bleed the whole abs system, didnt make a difference.
eventually the strength came back, but it still is never as strong as it was originally. i have no idea what happened with both of us.
we didnt do anything wrong.... |
