I was talking to my friend the other day on excuses that we've given to the police and he mentioned one day he was speeding and he told the cop that the reason he was speeding was cause he was racing home to get his wife pregnant. he got off with a warning
whats the best excuse you used and got off with a warning? |

i told a police officer i was late for a wedding. (I was already dressed up and stuff so ya) he let me off with a warning
(I was inspired by my cousins incident in Blackburn, England awhile back, he was speeding and the police pulls him over and he tells the police officer hes going to be late for a funeral, which is taking place in Bolton so the police asks some questions like where it is and what time it starts etc and then police officer goes back into his car comes back and is like ok follow me, he flips his sirens on and takes my cousin just alittle outside of Blackburn and pulls him over again and says to him, now you can go, and you will make it on time now by doing the speed limit so don't speed.) so i was trying my luck when i told the police officer i was late for a wedding |

came over the top of a hill on the way to fort mac going 140ish and there was a cop with radar, when he pulled me over.
officer "why were you going so fast?"
me "the cruise control doesn't work very well on hills so i hit the gas and i just didn't realize i was accelerating that much" (driving an 82 supra)
officer "WOW!! the cruise still works on that thing? i used to have one blaa blaa blaa"
ticket for 116 instead of 140+, yes i know it was stupid, i'm not bragging.
one of only 2 times i've been pulled over other, that was 4 years ago when i hadn't calmed down my driving yet.
other than that i just treat them with respect and don't lip off, but the only other times i've been pulled over was in cruises where we weren't doing anything and at check stops. |

thats right, a completely stock 82 supra thats rusty is definetly making people think tuner scene :rolleyes: compared to the idiots in 1 ton welding rigs going that fast and faster i'd say thats safe by comparison.
That was 4 years ago and one of 2 times in my life i've been pulled over. i rarely drove that fast, i normally kept it to 120km/hr, could make it from PTI lodge (well past fort mac) to edmonton on one tank and still go another 50kms. any faster and i'd be filling up before getting to edmonton.
Next time maybe you should know who it is your commenting on before making a stupid comment, i'm not some idiot always driving like an ass hat and making the 'tuner' scene look bad. if i was an asshat who drove like that regularly you think i would only been pulled over in cruises and check stops other than that incident? |

I was dialing in my boost controller and ripping it one night from a friends place.
Cop pulled me over. Asked how fast I was going, told him I had no idea as my speedo was broken (The truth); he then asks what the hurry was, I told him I had to get to bed for work early in the AM.
He then asked me if my car was a MR2, and said it was very nice. Something I didn't expect from an older cop.
Asked me if I wanted the easy or hard way out. Of course I chose easy.
He then began to say "SLOW THE FUCK DOWN!" and he let me on my way without a ticket!:thumbup: |

Way back when I was 20, my buddies pulled out of the gas station sideways, so of course I had to do the same thing.
As soon as I straighten out, I see cherries.
She pulls over & asks why I was driving like that, I politely told her that I got caught up in the moment. She punched up my licence (it was clean) & let me off with just a warning. |
