my speedo climbs pretty much just as fast as ^, and i have 6 gears, and lots of room to keep going if i had more power.
220 makes more sense.

i would rather keep breathing then try to beat my old record.

I had no shortage of road. Like I said it was a long trip to that speed. Go on youtube you fucking cunts - plenty of video proof there

642km/hr in my 93 Ford Ranger at 1500rpm. Still had plenty of room left.

It is funny, especially how people "estimate".

Majority of the speedo's out there dont even go near 260.

Fucking haters. There is some proof what a stock h22 can do. lol at you guys thinking it tops at 220 max.....i can't even believe the guys who own preludes think they can't go faster.

We aren't hating on ballin Ludes. It just using some common sense. Speedo error has been claimed to usually be around 6%, throw some different tires in the mix, and toss a couple more percent in there. Honda claims top speed to be 228km/h, and I think they know a little more than kids trying to max out their preludes for you tube videos. I know for a fact my corrado's speedo is high. When I am going an indicated 60 I am actually only going 50, but I also run undersized tires. That is a 20 % margin of error with my undersized tires. Its about 10% with my stocks on. Get over it guys, your preludes wont be keeping up with maxed out e46 m3s on the highway. (yes I know the m3 is limited, but still no fucking way)

Oh I forgot to add...I maxed out my car at 260 on jasper ave during rush hour.

I swear half you guys half read posts and make your decision on what you think halfway through reading facts. whatever, you guys don't want to believe a car that may be slower than your car can have a higher top speed that is cool. It doesnt mean that your right.

Calm down there, sparky. It was a general question. I haven't said squat about doubting your 'run'. Notice how I didn't say Prelude or Prudz_lude anywhere in any of my posts up to now.

You got it. Actually Highway 63 from Syncrude all the way down to Grassland can be like Death Race 2000. :D

You're talking about the Albertabaun Nordschleife. The 'South Section' is what I'm talking about.

EDISKRAD EHT
240ish in the Neon. (Wasn't looking down for too long)

Bang on 300km/hr on a Yamaha R1 (Topped out).

sliptank
1998 Polaris XCR 700
hit 120 mph, ran out of lake and guts..
(it was triple piped, DG can, gears swapped for more top end, 1.25 inch lug track, etc.)

I've done 220 km/h in a Neon. (scary as fuck, felt like warp 9)
Done 240 km/h in an 89 Buick Lesabre T-Type.. ran out of speedo at about 180.. but shit we kept going for about 10 minutes..and the scenery was moving awful fast..so this is roughly guestimated..as we never hit any rev limiter and she kept pulling... Made a 45 minute trip (at 120km/h) in about 15 minutes.

otherwise I own piles of Ford that are rev limited at 150 km/h to 160 km/h...

dwarfy123
220 ish

although i posted what my spedo read it's about as good as an estimate because it dosn't read accurate much past 200.

and my spedo goes to 320km/h:D

skiontwintips
220km/h in a 1995 Z28 6MT.. Had plenty left in her but someguyincanada blew by me like I was standing still and scared the poo out of me.

180km/h on the Coquahautoban in my sad, slow sighvic.

firestarter
went 240kph in a 996 turbo! not while I was driving, I only had the gusto to get it to 200, since the owner was in the passenger seat and I was not used to the car "road"

95EagleAWD
300-ish in the NSX on the Yellowhead out by Jasper. Good times.

Agreed, what the fuck. How much power do the most powerful ludes have? Like 200 in the last gen? There is no way that it has the power to overcome the wind resistance at that speed. Id suggest the speedo is off, or the bullshit meter is off.

I have no comment for a Prelude going 252km/h. BUT, I just wanted to point out that my C230 Kompressor only has 192 HP and 200 Ft/lbs and I've had it up to about 240ish KM/H. My Speedo reads up to 260 KM/H and when I was up to 240 it still had more...I just backed off because I didn't want to chance it.

But I also have a 6 Speed...not 5.

Just some food for thought.

LOL 180MPH in a close to stock NSX Ryan? Was it a gigantic hill? Or maybe Porsche made your speedometer.

euro_ftw
+1 noway that an old NSX could do that??

95EagleAWD
It was downhill yes. Obed Summit, I believe.

It'll do 165-ish mph on the level.

Driven
355 km/hr.. Silvia of DOOM... low boost. nuff said.

catlin987987
255km/h

tho_chi
150mph, mazdaspeed6.

Arikara1985
It's funny, I posted my top speed in a car but I never even thought of the top speed on my 2004 CBR 954RR. It was over 300km/h (not sure exactly how much over but my speedo was over the limit and my bikes speedo went to 300. This was on the way to Niagra Falls one night.

Yeah, mine had 190 and 240 stock, and R&T got it up to 149mph with a 5-spd and a relatively short 3.55 rear and a 3500ish lb car.
