Thanks. There was a lil arguement about it on z31performance.com some guys from the states think theres only one style for a 50th A.E. and the dealership might have added the fender flares - badging on.

I may have missed it somewhere and I`m not trying to start shit again, but I just recognized the car. Have you accepted that it`s not an 50th AE yet?

Although thats probably something people would want to know in the beginning instead of find out later.

Question: How can I be absolutely certain the car is a true 50th AE?
1) Open hood.
2) Identify Model plate on driver's strut tower.
3) Look at line that contains MODEL information.
4) Scan line for "L5". If the line doesn't have "L5" in it, the car is not a true 50th Anniversary Edition.

I do not believe your car is an AE, but I guess you do . there is so much evidence that it isn't a legit Anniversy edition, im not trying to flame or anything just putting it out there for potential buyers.

i know thats why i posted it up to. its a very rare one.if i had more info on it id post it but i dont.

why would the dealerships stick badges on and flares that are 1000 bucks each alone etc.?

I'm pretty sure the dealership doesnt pay that much for skirts and flares, they would do it to jack up the price of the vehicle. Show us another Z like yours that is an AE. or show proof post up a pic of the VIN.

Why do you think yours is an AE, because it has flares and an emblem, my Z has AE flares and skirts I should get an emblem then it will be a real AE lol.

What im getting from your statements is that you are saying you have a one of a kind anniversary edition... Get Real!

Until you show definate proof I will NOT believe this car is a legit AE.

I don't know if this will help anyone, but a quick check in wiki came up with this snippet:

quote:
The 1984 300ZX 50th Anniversary Edition, released to celebrate Nissan's half-century, was all fully-loaded turbocharged model with a Silver/Black color scheme. All 50th Anniversary Edition came equipped with a digital dash including MPG and compass readouts, in-car electronic adjustable shocks, Bodysonic speakers in the seats, cruise and radio controls in the steering wheel, mirrored t-tops, embroidered leather seats, embroidered floor mats, sixteen-inch aluminum wheels, rear fender flares, different front fenders, and 50th AE logo badges on the body. The only option available to the 50th Anniversary Edition was the choice between an automatic or a 5-speed manual transmission.

300zx.babe
I know mine doesnt have most of those options.

graphite
So are you saying its an AE or not? Cause $4500 for a 24 year old auto base model 300z with body and frame damage seems a little steep

ding ding ding this is the reason I am arguing this, so someone doesn't buy this thing and spend $4500 thinking its a legit AE.

300zx.babe
i did change the title. i cant change the main one though.
i put obo.. i will part it out if i have to. i have someone interested in it anyways.

300zx.babe

Whats with the massive dent in the rear left quarter panel? Recent? Why wasnt the fact that the car had frame and body damage not written up on the details.
