custom gauge pod. - Click HERE for Original Thread

silvermist
does any one know what the hole size is for a set of gauges. I want to make a custom gauges pod set up in my car but don't have the gauges yet.

I just need to know what size of hole I need to fit the gauge in to and then I can add a 1/2 inch to make the ring.

What fucking guages?

Do you know how much horsepower an engine has?

ChromeDragon
You need to decide what gauges you want to use, there are lots of different sizes out there.

Soulfly
The ones like these (Like most people get):

Those are 2-1/16".

But,... Like everyone else said.. Buy your gauges FIRST, then make something... Cause there are bigger sizes...

It's just a stupid question. Put a little thought into it. Use google.

We have no idea what guages he's using.

i just thought there was a sort of standard size considering you can get a piller pods for most cars and they don't really ask you for a size when you buy them. all I wanted was a common size so if I desided to go with faze gauges or cobalts then I could fit them if lets say I did a 2 inch inside ring with a 2.5 inch out side diameter thenI could trim them to fit with out worrying about the hole being to big for the gauge.

and yes there are a lot of asshole on this site and as for auzzie my car is making 1,000 hp to the center hubs :asshole:

to chrome and soulfly I thanks for your input I will deside on the gauges I want ( probably go with the faze reverse since they will match the factory gauges in face and nedle color.)

ya but he losses 950hp from the centercaps to the spinner hubcaps u know drive train loss.

;)

yes I was being sarcastic since I don't see how my hp detemines the size of a gauge.

Oh baby, horsepower is the size of your gauges.

I was asking a retarded question. How much power does an engine make? Without saying what engine.

See the similarities?

silvermist
well why not say "it depends on the gauges " instead of being a jack ass about it.

Well that's good, for a minute there I thought you were being a douche :D And for the record I wasn't making a reference between HP and Gauges. I was merely flappin my gums about that outlandish remark, which turns out to be a joke. Thanks for clearin that up

tercel drifter
alot of of the guages like the aem uego and autometer are 2" so its like 52mm i think that pretty standard size
