| Hey guys I have a 2003 Acura RSX Type S and have procrastinated timing belt change for long enough. Please email/post/PM me with info about getting it done. I need to know the best place to get it done, how much it is going to cost, and any other useful pieces of information. |

for acura/honda's and toyota/lexus
wilson's autotech
their pricings are pretty reasonable and I've heard a lot of good things about them. |

| I'm pretty sure the RSX-S uses a timing chain and dosn't require regular changing. |

| that is correct, they have a timing chain instead. Check the runners at the 100,000km service. The timing chain should never have to be replaced, as long as you don't neglect your oil level. |

I am positive that the oil has never been neglected. I have a buddy that works at Lube City and gets me oil changes for cheap so I get them done every 5000 km as per his advice. I only use the best oils too like Royal Purple and Amsoil most recently.
The main reason I started this thread was because my engine is making a slight knocking/tinking noise coming from the bottom left of the engine bay. This got me worried so I started asking around and found out about the timing chain. I will try to post a video somehow so you got a better idea.
Also, thank you to all that have posted so far I really appreciate the advice so keep it coming! :P |
