Hi All,
Armin is at Tonic this thursday (Aug. 7) -- surely a set I look forward to more than any of Tiesto's past sets (since Magik 1 in Calgary that is). |

Armin tore it up at Tonic in Edmonton on the night of August 7, 2003!!! He played for almost a solid three hours. Even though he wanted to play longer, they wouldn't let him (probably for security reasons, etc.).
Some highlights of the night:
- first track played...I can't remember! Lets just say, it was a well-known and rather new track that gave the crowd a taste of what was to come
- the playing of As One - Forever Waiting
- the playing of his remix of Motorcycle - As the Rush Comes
- his drinking of heineken and shots during the entire time
- him putting on a cowboy hat that was given to him by the crowd (he also tried to put his headphones on it for the full effect - pure kodak moment)
- the playing of Midway - Amazon
- at the end of his set, he was giving out some of his vinyl
- we asked for his copy of "Flakes" but he said he couldn't cuz he needed it for his set taking place in vancouver tonight (but he rejected us by giving us a reason - what class!)
- last track played (for encore)...Push - Strange World (2000 Remake)

I heard when Mark opened for PvD is was bangin, but sadly he isn't comming here. The Manhattan Club didn't pre-pay for his flight over (i guess paying for thier flight is part of the cost to the club) and he had to cancel, he says he still wants to come to Edmonton though cause he had a great time here. Here is what the schedule looks like for Edmonton if anyone is interested:
August 21 - Marques Wyatt @ The Standard
August 28 - Big League Chu @ Manhattan Club
August 28 - SASHA @ Reds
September 3 - Max Graham @ ???
