When I had my PGT, I got pulled over all the time, all over the place for a "routine check" <-------my ass, but that's what they said.
Haven't been pulled over in the Lude yet though, although I've done some crazy things in her. :fingersx:
Just got pulled over in Spruce Grove about 3 weeks ago in my truck. 70 in a 50. Admittedly, that was alittle fast, but who does 50 in a 50?? |

Not once ever since I took the wheel at 14 w/ the learners or since I got my real drivers at 16... now that i'm close to 20 and even closer to insurance reductions at 21, i go and f@ck up and get caught doing "30km/h over" = 3 demerits, and a week later get caught doing 30km/h over again, but had it reduced to 15km/h over..... THat just f*cking sucks IMO, b/c My insurance prob. wont go down now and will prob. go up :(
So clean for 3+ years, and bang within two weeks I'm getting f*cked hardcore :( oh well...
As for where and when... the first time was like 12am on 178st going to get some grub w/ a friend, and the next time was on boudreau in st albert 2:50ish in the afternoon trying to get to work on time.... that jerkoff made me late for work, by doing his job.... He didn't pull the minivan pacing me over prob. b/c I'm a kid in a sports car not some soccer mom disobeying the law.... |

hrm, ive been pulled over on the highway once.... all my other tickets have been inside the city..
Ive been pulled over more times in my old S15 Jimmy than in my car.. Tho ive had more warnings in my car than in my truck... its kinda weird..
Chris, so you have 5 dimerits, its not that bad.. I am sitting at 11 right now :)
If you are that concerned about it, there is a drivers ed course you can take once a year that will reduce your dimerits if you pass by 3.... I am going to take it as soon as I can.. :)

Yep, I took that a few years ago. You'll get 3 demerits back, but your tickets still remain on your record for 3 years. So in terms of your insurance company, you're still f#$ked!
All the demerits really buy you is a little more room to save your license. |

I got pulled over on a Sunday morning on yellowhead. I was speeding for sure.. I was doing 135 in the 70. He said he got me at 97 street. But he finally pulled me over at 142 street. Told me he was following me forever. When he pulled me over i has half naked still. Towel wrap around and sleepers. He just said i cant give you a ticket cause you were going to fast, gave me a court date. Then he showed up at my road race(running) to see how i did.. I was really looking in the rear view mirror. I got 6 demerits for it and a 300$ ticket. No No licence suspention Thank you god.
Is there a spell checker on this thingy??? |

| 137 Ave i always get pulled over on 137. i do drive 8 over all the time but have yet to get a ticket but i have been pulled over for just about every thing else. window tint seams to be their favorite but exhust and tail light are a close secound and third and a solid forth would have to be im male white and a pipmed out car. i normaly just get a slap on the hand but i have got a few tickets to. my least fav was in laduc i was driving my car and stop at a light and there was a tow truck on the other side of the intersection i had my seat belt lose because it was a hot day and i was crusin' with the top out and the windows down so what ever i drive thru the intersection and about 50 yards down the road a cop waves me in to a parking lot filled with cars so im like what ever just a slap on the wrist for the exhust right. oh was i wrong i got a ticket for inproperly ajusted saet belt for exhust for tint for lights (which are red says the judge) and mud flaps. the ticket was $450 when it was all said and down i went a faught it and got it reduced to $105. i nolonger drive my car in laduc |

| i had 3 accidents, 2 reported, 2 speeding tickets over 160km/h and one of those accidents i got a leaving the scene ticket which was 800bones. i left the scene cause i was drunk, and i pretty much took out a lightpost right by the traffic circle in sherwood park... hit it so hard the light actually fell off the post. at that time my insurance was up to 9000 a year.. and my licence suspended for 3months.. but that was almost 5yrs ago, now i havnt had a ticket in 3 years, and i only pay 3000 a year for the rsx full coverage.. it was nice turning 21... insurance dropped dramatically. |

| I was riding with my friend coming back from Calgary in his Acura, when we saw a radar trap on the opposite side. My friend flashed his lights a couple of times to warn the cars coming from the opposite side. Wouldn't you know it but we came up to a radar trap on our side after the under pass. A cop pulled us over and gave my friend a stern lecture. After the standard CPIC, he let my friend off with a warning that he could have given him a "Stunting" ticket for that and it would have been $385 (don't remember the exact amount). My friend had no idea it was illegal to warn other motorists about radar traps. Heck I remember ppl doin that since i was a kid. :crying: |

| Pretty nasty that it's illegal to warn someone of radar trap. I still do flash my lights and will continue to flash my lights to others. I wish more people would then the police can do better things with their time. Although if people didn't speed-fat chance of that happening-police would have time to catch real criminals. |

Leduc is a bad place for cops. Thats were they train all the rookies ( I used to live there) and they got somthing to prove. Never been pulled over but one time a cop followed me home from a movie one time. He justs drove past after. |

oh this is an easy one, cops are so predictable.
If you have tinted windows and an exhaust drive at your own risk at these times:
Friday: 9pm - 4am
Saturday: 9pm - 4am
Sunday: 4am - 10am
These are the only times when you'll really get pulled over for nothing at all, just having an exhaust or some other BS. Any other time of the week, you drive good, and they'll leave you alone. |

Yeaaaaaaayy I am so glad that another person decided to start another lets BITCH about the stupid f@cking cops in this city that are only doing their f@cking jobs and really have nothing better to do that give everyone tickets that that don't even deserve thread!!!! IF you are going to post in a thread just say yes been pulled over here for this reason....not been pulled over here because I was doing nothing or speeding or have tinted windows, or driving impaired and the cops have nothing better to do than write tickets......
I think that I am going to come to your work one day and start bitching about how you do your joba and how its not good enough and ask if you have nothing better to do......
if you play be prepared to pay!!!!  :wtf: |

| I got a ticket last week. 120 km/h in a 100 km/h zone. The cop dropped it to 110 km/h so went from $120 and 3 demerits to $78 and 2 demerits. He was very friendly though, wasnt rude at all. Said it was the friday of the long weekend (I should have known better but I forgot) He complemented me on my car and asked me all about it. Said I should slow it down as being the long weekend lots of drivers on the road that probably arent as good of drivers as I am. I drive tons on the highway back and forth to work and never get looked at. I go off the beaten path to Barhead to pick up my nephew and poof a ticket. |

stunting tickets are now $400 :o :o :o
Good thing it's been a few years... I got pulled over by an unmarked cop car that I couldn't see.....I think mine was only $170 and it was something like 7 demerits. (cops don't like smoke shows at stop lights)
While we are on the subject.... cops are usually cool if you don't lie and tell them the flat out truth.
For example I was caught doing 185km/h in an 80km/h zone (where Argyll meets 82nd Ave just before the 50st bridge)
The cop caught up to me just before 34st and when he asked why I was going so fast I simply stated "because I'm an idiot" .... he laughed, escorted me back to his cruiser and gave me a 40km/h over the limit ticket under the condition that I not go to court and pay the fine right away (which I did). Funny thing is I don't remember him telling me to slow down or anything....had a grin the entire time he was writing up the ticket and really didn't say much.
I figured I was going back to the cop shop....good bye licence hello impound....I should try to find my ticket and send that cop a bottle of rye for being a good sport about it.... I guess I caught him on a good day. |
