Hello all. Drift practices are starting up this week and we hope to see lots of you out there making smoke and learning more about drifting.
For Edmonton there are plenty of dates on every second Thursday at Castrol Raceway as well, with potentially more on the way if the turnout/demand warrants more days.

Gates and tech open at 5 p.m. and we'll run right up until 10 or 10:30 under the lights. Snell 2000 or newer helmet required.
We hope to see everyone out there. These practices are meant for beginners, intermediate and the top drivers. Everyone will be able to take something away from them. |

Drift practice tonight at Castrol guys. Gates open at 5, first car out at 5:30. The practice will be split up into one hour segments, with instruction for the new guys happening every second hour. If the experienced drivers want to join in on learning the basics that's fine. If you are willing to jump in the passenger seat with a new driver to give some instruction that's even better.
Itinerary.
5 p.m. - Gates open, tech begins
5:30 - 6:30 p.m. - practice begins, regular drivers head out, new drivers stick to the pits for instruction
6:30 - 7:30 p.m. - new drivers on track learning basic drifting skills
7:30 - 8:30 p.m. - regular drivers back on track, new drivers in pits for instruction
8:30 - 9:30 p.m. - new drivers on track
9:30 - 10:30 p.m. - everyone out on track
Hope to see lots of folks out. Regular drivers don't need to worry about losing track time since there will be a shorter lineup while the new drivers are getting instruction off-track. |

Pah, who cares about the 10 bucks...you go there, see tires get destroyed, meet great people and talk about cars. It's a great thing.
Was a good practice tonight, although there was a smaller turnout of cars than last time. I had a great time. |

Because that is the fee Castrol wants. If it was free they wouldn't even bother opening the gate. |
