I Simply CANNOT recommend them to anyone. They may make my situation right, or try, but with such a big fuck up from the start I would never recommend the shop to my worste enemy.
Why?
I booked 3 months in advance. My appointment date rolls around. They keep pushing me back. I finally get the car in about 2 weeks late.
Week goes by. Nothing. Another few days, I get a call. "Good news where starting on your car today". WTF? You had it for over a week without touching it when you know I'm on a tight deadline.
Ok so car starts getting worked on. Week goes by. Today I'm suppose to pickup my car. I call for the amount owed. $700 OVER what i was quoted. So i'm pissed.
I go down their for them to explain why. Before doing so I took a look at the car. The WORSTE job I've ever seen. And this isn't on a 91 Accord. Its a $50,000 car and the work should represent that.
Fitment was horrible. They'd made no effort to align or fix anything (despite charging me more for apparently "more work")
And the paint match. WAY OFF. Pearl white is a hard color, but this was so far off it may as well be black.
They basically made my $65,000 car (with money i've invested) look like a $2000 Honda.
I would never recommend the shop. |

| I feel the need to add to this. My sideskirts have been sitting there since there was still snow on the ground. They are not damaged, clear cloat was peeling, and they where a slight shade different than the rest of the car. So repaint for them. They quoted me 350$ for this, highest quote i got, but supposidly they do good work. I wouldent know, more than 2 months later, my sideskirts are still there, and they have "better" things to do. I might stop by friday, and pick my shit up weather its done or not. Oh and the kicker as to why the are taking so long? Darcy told me they have better things to do besides paint my sideskirts. :mad: |

I have never had an issue with them, nor has anyone I've recommended, till now.
Your original appointment that you set up, you actually canceled because it snowed and you couldn't get your car there.... So I can see why it took them a bit to get started on the car.
Bodykit fitment..... from anyone who has ever had a kit installed, knows that maybe 1% of them fit perfectly. Most take quite a bit of work. So I can see why there are issues with that.
White pearl, from my understanding is probably THE HARDEST paint to match. I've been to many bodyshops, and cougar is the only place I've been to that had it almost perfect. I have no idea why yours is off...
Now... Them charging you more money without your consent is bullshit.
If the paint match is as bad as you say it its.... (although you are about as picky as me and no-one else seen the paint except you) ... thats bullshit aswell.
They are making an effort to fix the issue, I would have waited till friday to see the car before I made a shit ass feedback post like this. |

Why? Such a big fuckup from the start. People deserve to hear that. If that fix it then I'll be the first to post saying they made amens and rectified the situation.
But i'm still going to share the whole story.
How can you defend body kit fitment? I'm paying to MAKE IT FIT. I don't give two shits what it fits like out of the box. Especially when your charging me over for "extra work".
And I'll tell you one thing. I'm getting fuckin sick of people telling me I'm being too picky without seeing the work. I know for a fact not one 780 member would have accepted the car.
I'm happy your car turned out great. I really am. But that post pissed me off. Made it sound as though I'm being an over picky whiny sob.
Go see the work. Otherwise noone can comment. |

| I still wouldent care. If i am handing over an assload of money to them, to paint and fit a kit on my car. I would want it to be perfect. If they couldent do it, I would take it somewhere else. If they cant match the paint? Take it somewhere else. Maybe i'm just anal about my car, but if its not perfect, i would definately, and will definately take it back, or refuse to pay. |

| that place f'd up my car bad as well...i wouldnt recommend them AT ALL. my car's red and there was like white overyspray on the roof and doors, and my bumpers are fiberglass, and they used bondo to fix some chips and cracks, and did an absolute shitty job. |

UPDATE:
As per my original post I was pissed right off with the original work done on my car. Wednesday was a whole bunch of yelling and anger.
Graham at Cougar (the owner) agreed to attempt to re-do it. I told him i need the car by Friday. He said he could meet that timeline.
To be honest I was skeptical. If they where capable it would have been done right the first time right??
Wrong. I went to pickup the car on Friday and Cougar completely flipped their mark and made things right. Showed they are capable of good work when push comes to shove.
Fitmet was all fixed. None of the big gaps I had. Paint match was as close as you will get pearl white. They had spent 8 hours doing paint swatches to get the color right.
So in the end, I would have to revoke my previous recommendation. Everyone screws up but its how they rectify the situation. Cougar definately came through in the end and proved they are capable of the caliber of work that I was demanding.
Now they know the kind of customer I am i'll definately use them in the future. |

Yea ive got to ad ive never really seen bad work come from cougar. I had some body work done on my teg there and it was awesome.
That was probably one of the more interesting feedbacks ive read though. Complete 180 lol. |

Well the shop did a complete 180. I have no problems changing my opinion or initial judgement if the shop picks up their shit. And cougar did just that.
I even got a card from them hand written thanking me for my business the other day. It was a nice touch. |

| I got my sideskirts back. After 3 months. And to say the least, they look like shit. My clear coat was peeling on them when i took them in, the reason i took them in. Sooo they paint over it. Still visible. One side has a mark in them from something touching them while they where wet aswell. And he also told me he didnt have time for doing stuff like my sideskirts next time. So there wont be a next time. Glad yours worked out, mine, not so much. |
