| Has anyone here ever driven a right hand drive vehicle on the streets? Just wondering what it is like driving one, if it's a pain in the ass to shift, if you just hate being on that side, or anything else that is good/bad. |

Never driven a right hander, but I'd expect it to be a pain to shift - being predominantly right handed and all
All the more reason to spring for the Sport-tronic/F1 style paddles, nyi? :D

Right hand drive...... it sucks! Left hand turns you can't see if anything is coming. 2 lane roads you can't pass cuz you pretty much have to go into the other lane just to see if the way is clear. And everytime you go to hit the turn signal for the first while you get the wipers. I figured all this out in a RHD MX-3 my friend owned for a while. I wouldn't own one ever I don't think!

Passing and turning left are kind of tricky, helps to have a passenger. Also, it gets old having to tell people at red lights that the car is from Japan, not England.
You have to train yourself to focus on staying in the middle of the lane, for the first few hours I kept floating towards the left.
My car is automatic, so no shifting problems. I enjoy driving RHD, it's not a burden (to me at least). |

| I grew up driving right hand drive so it's not to big of a deal to me. After driving here in a left hand for a few years I went to Austrailia and did some RHD again. Felt strange for about 10 min. No big thing once you get use to it except for making left hand turns here, that can be tricky. |
