A friend has an RX7 that has a blown apex seal. I was informed that if the apex seal is blown there is a chance that the engine is garbage.
My question is if getting an engine like this rebuilt at a shop and told them I wanted it rebuilt would rebuilding change the rotor and rotor housing and all the things that would be damaged from the blown apex seal? Or is this something i have to specifically ask for? Or is his engine garbage? |

in most cases unless you find someone who
has used parts to put into it it will cost way to much
to rebuild.
a rotor and a housing new will cost about 1200.
+ the rebuild parts another 1000.+
+ time
there is a chance that rotor and housings may not need
to be changed but its rare.
