Rebuilding a rotary - Click HERE for Original Thread

TurboEG6
A friend has an RX7 that has a blown apex seal. I was informed that if the apex seal is blown there is a chance that the engine is garbage.
My question is if getting an engine like this rebuilt at a shop and told them I wanted it rebuilt would rebuilding change the rotor and rotor housing and all the things that would be damaged from the blown apex seal? Or is this something i have to specifically ask for? Or is his engine garbage?

now
in most cases unless you find someone who
has used parts to put into it it will cost way to much
to rebuild.
a rotor and a housing new will cost about 1200.
+ the rebuild parts another 1000.+
+ time
there is a chance that rotor and housings may not need
to be changed but its rare.
