Park at the university and take the LRT. It's $4 for a round trip and you can stop downtown for dinner and drinks with the Mrs.
The parking lots at the University are patrolled and the entrances are manned (multistory) so the cars are fairly safe from vehicle theft. |

Except LRT round trip is actually $5/person and parking at the university is $3.75. So $13.75 for LRT for 2 + U of A parking vs $10 Northlands parking.
Grab a flyer so you can get $2 off the admission price. $13 is better than $15. |

Why are transit rates going through the roof??! St. Albert buses are $5 per trip now, I think? And I see University parking increased too. There's always that cheapo Impark lot near the Education building at the University... or has it jacked up the rate too? It used to be $2 for a weekend.
Maybe the extra cost of doing such can be justified in the satisfaction of chatting with one's friends or significant other on the way back... or stopping for a beer or bite to eat.
...or if gas keeps going up in price it could be justified in that taking the LRT is more cost effective and gas saving... |
