DTSS: Dynamic Tuned Suspension System. It's basically a primative 'rear steering' setup. When a certain amount of force is applied to the rear wheels, they can move a few degrees. This theoretically improves cornering, when it is working. Many people just feel it causes the car to become unstable (snap oversteer) when the bushings become worn.
The eliminator is a solid bushing which prevents the system from working. |

the dtss system was designed to introduce negative toe angle (inward) during hard cornering. it's a safety feature for the average rx7 owner. theoretically helps them avoid spinning (oversteering) and losing control.
edited to avoid a potentially stupid discussion on the pros and cons of DTSS. |
