Indiana Jones. - Click HERE for Original Thread

Is anyone else just super-pumped about this coming out on Thursday?

Therin
no. it looks weak.

Inzane
Yes, and no.

Yes because well, it's Indiana Jones! And I've been waiting for this sequel to be made for like ~20 years.

Sorta no, because it took this long, Harrison Ford is looking too old to play the part. He can't possibilty still have all the moves. And also, I'm very weary of the casting of that kid from Transformers. Will he be the exact same character again? (he was in another movie of his I saw a while ago). And do we really need a kid sidekick again (refering to the 2nd Indy movie)?

The other thing I heard is this movie won't feature "Nazis". The villains have apparently been substituted for another group. It's not hard to imagine that was contrived, a change due to political correctness pressure, not actual story merit. That's my guess anyway.

But regardless, I WILL go to see this!

Oh and BTW, that Indiana Jones burger at Burger King is actually pretty good!

Read a bit about this movie, and the new villains are the Russians, as in the cold war after WW2, which makes sense from a timeline basis.

The old Indiana Jones movies were from my day, but my kids are big fans as well, so we will definitely be catching this in the next few weeks.

I liked the first one the best, because it was the kick-in-the-pants to the action movie genre that changed the way we looked at them. Just like The Matrix was a big shift in style in the more recent era of the way action is portrayed.

Ahh. Thanks, that makes sense now.

I'm excited but I have a bit of trepidation because there are no Nazis in the film. The first film had nazis and it was awesome, the second didn't and it wasn't very good (IMHO), and the third did and it was awesome.

joker
I saw it on Sun, it was decent

T-Funk

Altezza
I will wait a week to see it when everyone else has seen it so the theater isnt is busy.
And Hon Solo FTW!

Mobius
It was long, but I thought it kept quite well to the previous three. Same style, fit and finish, with a little bit of weird thrown in.

I'm going to see it this weekend :D

ZEguy
i have herd from too many people that it was teh suck, so i will be waiting til it comes out on video, b/c i dont think its worth it to see in theaters.I have a feeling most of the people will call it mediocre.

K-Ross
It was actually a pretty good movie
