NathanRed
thanks for the brilliant answer i want it hard wired any idiot can do the adapter way

mike3
Then be more specific.
What are you trying to hardwire? Everything? Just the power?
Do you have the portable unit, or satellite radio built into the deck?

NathanRed
portable unit that i have the boom box for sirius sportster 5

mike3
Well, I'll assume it has the cigarette lighter for power. If you just cut off the end, and attach 1 wire to + 1 to ground you may risk frying something.
This is what I did for my radar detector. I went to crapy tire, and bought the smallest universal cig lighter they had. Theres 2 wires on it. Just wire one to + one to ground, then you can hide it up in the dash, and hide the wires. This way you can always take it out of you need to too.

NathanRed
solid thanks

mike3
No prob.
