Tell them your dog ate the ticket so you can not pay it. It works like a charm every time. |

| the CP can still withdraw your ticket too, good luck. |

| well the short of it i was driving and switched lanes a couple times but this white van did the exact same things as me, i sped up and he was with me then we get to the light and he didn't pass so i just booked it thinking he was following me but ended up being an unmarked police van |

sounds weak, however, only thing you can do is fight it and leave it up to a judge... That's if the CP doesn't wish to withdraw it. |

ya well i just heard that if it you were thought to be at risk then the chance of your ticket getting thrown out would be higher
and also the cop could have pulled me over way before getting me at 50 over |

| Sounds like he may have been following you to see if you'd calm down, so he wouldn't have to pull you over.. usually the vans don't pull people over. :dunno: |

Maybe he thought you were a paranoid crack head.:dunno:
Best thing to due is just tell them the truth, the worst thing that happens is you don't win.
You should at least get a reduction. |

yeah i'm going to tell him exactly what was my reason for speeding up
and hopefully i get lucky cause i'm still gdl so that would be a bitch for demerits |

| I do not think you will be able to convince them you had to go 50 km/h over because you thought you were being followed. |

That actually happened to me. He ripped the shit out of my 215$ speeding ticket, and when I went to the courthouse, I asked her if they had another copy of this on file, since there is no legible writing on it. She stood there, pissing her pants laughing at me for a good 5 minutes. |

well ya i don't know it wasn't the smartest thing but first of all i had to see if he was just speeding or actually following me
and when they match your speed up for that long what else would i think
like if it was a crown vic you could call me the biggest idiot but a unmarked white van with the lights inside and just dark? |

50 over? wow. they might reduce it if you can argue that they induced you to speed, but 50 over is hard to argue.
also depends where you were too -if you could have pulled into somewhere public, etc., etc.
I doubt it -50 over is a bit bite, mate. |

I'd argue entrapment but I wasn't there so how much he was actually tailing you is questionable.
If a non marked and un-obvious police car followed me like an assassin and then pulled me over when I went to get away then I would fight it for sure.
However.. 50 over is excessive in some places.. others not. Freeway etc.. I'd feel justified. |
