Ahhh, I just wanna get a good deal when I'm ready to purchase one....which could be soon.....I havnt decided if i should do it at the end of the month or not when she comes over because I wanna get permission from her dad first, but i dont nkow if it's ok too ask her first and THEN ask for permission, or do u actually have to do it in order? :lol: How can u tell i havnt done this before or watched too many movies like that? hahahaha....
So Andy, with that hook-up u have, if i look, would I have to buy it? Or can I still shop around without making u look bad? lol.....btw, do u think it'll be a deal i cant refuse? :P |

| I went to Spence because they had the best deals..I got alot of extra's included with the ring price (ie:inssurance, warrenty etc.) No one else could touch this IMO..with the money you will most likely shell out any extra coverage is a good idea...Ask her dad for permission first then ask her |

Man. I'd be nervous enough asking my girl let alone go up to her parents, hehe, and i know my G/F's parents pretty well they are like my own! I dunno i say suprise her, then tell her mom after {like the next day}, that way she can g oon about how happy she will be about it and they can talk about wedding plans for hours :P

I had my money tied up with them for 2 months, on the premise that "we'll find a better diamond" Didn't like anything they brought in.
Finally I said "I'm outta here"
Diagold Designs, just off jasper. I did their computer setups and stuff.
1 hour. Found the diamond I wanted and it was AWESOME.
Drew out a design that I wanted...
2 days later, I have a wax proof, it's EXACTLY what I wanted, I say "Do it"
5 days later, I'm holding the smallest most expensive thing I've ever bought...
The next night, I propose, the rest is history :).
I think for the rock I paid for, it was a great deal considering for the same price, I wasn't getting anything near it at "other places" |

Neon, I was thinking of doing the same thing....but im not sure how her parents would take that as, u know? do u think they would think that i dont really care what they think?
Anyhow Andy, if the deal is that good.... I guess we gotta check them out :P I absoultely dont know what im looking for in a diamond...but I dont want the ring to look anything fancy at all....very simple. :) When i say simple i dont mean cheap looking either ...lol...i think elegant is the word im looking for? :)
...and if i get a good deal and save some money in the end....all the better! :P |

Diamond Gallery in Winnipeg :) Hands down the best place to buy from.
Focus on Cut, Clarity and Color. w.r.t. Carats, once you push the 1.0 Carat line, things get expensive. i.e. the difference between .95 and .99 is a bit. The difference between .99 and 1.01 is very large.
How much did I spend? Too much, but I don't regret it at all :)
Can't look at things like that though.
Do your research.
Know your price limit.
Get what you want, i.e. what cut, clarity, color and size are you looking for? If they can't get what you want, then go somewhere else.
Platinum can be very cheap or very expensive. The difference is the grade used. haha, have seen people ripped off in this department unforunately.
