| Hey everyone. Just to let you know I sent in an application to http://www.teamscp1.com/ to see if I could get a sponsership... Well they called me today and I qualified. I got accepted for pro entry with a $15,000 co-op sponsorship. Depending on the amount of work done and plan to do decides how much they will give you. Basically I pay $135 for registration and in return I get discounts on parts from over 1000 suppliers for 30 - 80% off retail. All they require from me is to put two 2 x 7" decals on my car in a place of my choice and attend 3 shows/race events per year. It doesnt matter if its a small town show or something like the DTP. On that same note...for every show I win they give me a $200 cash bonus. If I dont make it to 3 shows or I decide to stop using them I just no longer get discounted parts and am no longer part of the Team. There is nothing that needs to be repaid, and no BS that follows. They currently sponser over 5000 vehicles from coast to coast. So as of tomorow I'll be paying my $135 and see where it goes from there. Thought you guys might be interested! |

| Yeah, I am. These BS "sponsorship" deals have been around since the start of the internet. Paying someone money to get a deal? Please. |

I have never really looked into it but if you actually save over %50 on a part and you actually are saving that much money then you did infact get a deal. |

Nope, it's a scam. I've seen it on every car forum I spend time on.
If it's too good to be true...... |

| ive also heard bad things about the sponsor sites. never paid too much attention to them though. personally i wouldn't trust them, especially with a start up fee. seems sketchy. |

| Yeah... I have considerd this... However... say I buy a CF hood thats $550... get 50% off costing me $275... and then add the $135 = $410 and i saved $140... I think however I might do a little more research today on this... On the same note this company has over 5000 members or suckers... so it may or may not be good.. |

| You are better off approaching local businesses for money an cheap parts. That way you have a face and a name. Not an email and a fee. |

| I would agree. |

| Yeah... I agree too. I might scrap them when they call tonight. On the same note i'm trying to work on a local sponsorship for an auto body shop right now... so i'll see where that goes. I'm also going to see if I can work out some sort of deal for the club. |
