Leak testing/setup for natural gas bbq - Click HERE for Original Thread

Anyone here willing to come over and setup the connection for a natural gas bbq for me? The natural gas outlet already has a shut-off valve and I already have the coupling/nipple and tape, it seems simple enough but i dont feel too confident in doing it just in case there are any leaks etc. let me know what you will charge and when you can do it, hopefully ASAP! Thanks

it's easy man.. there's 2 common ways to check for leaks.. the proper way and the old school macho way..

the proper way is to coat your connections in a water/soap combination, turn on the shutoff valve slowly...(make sure no open flame is near by, watch for bubbles... no bubbles you should be good.

the other way is open the valve and hold a lighter next to the connections and watch for flames..

So are you hoping for a a pipe fitter or just somebody who's done it before?

I could come take a look if you want, I am a apprentice plumber and have done my fair share of gas lines. It is what....a 3/4 line?

Its pretty easy all together...

If your close I could come take a quick look and if I put it together I would just want a couple beer.

Lemme know where you are, im on the southeast side.
