the new car is so much better than the old one it makes one wonder what mazda was thinking in the first place

we just got are first 09 at park so i got to take a good look at it
-the rear suspension is a better design and adjustable
-oil filter is on bottom and EASY to get at(with a revised fill port to stop oil gurgling)
-has improved coolers all round(oil,diff,rad)
-a proper working front strut bar
-improved under trays(including a aluminium one)
-larger exhaust pipeing with a smoother route through chassis
-lower final drive to keep revs up
im really looking forward to the r3 its going to really kick some ass around a track

on a different note if you have a 03 to 07 rx8 go to a dealer a book an appointment to get your oil cooler lines recalled (ssp76)
they a corroding and leaking with age. this only costs you the time to drop off the car.

I love the new interiors. I'm glad they did something about the seats. They have nothing for support. An srt4 has better support. Think about that.

The final drive change might be nice. But it's already a pig on gas so the higher revs are fine for racing, but suck if you wanna keep from burning gas.

Good call on the oil filter too. Since the engine sits even further back with all the piping and shit in the way, those filters are tough to get at too. Plus the gurgling shit too sucks.

Gotta go to the dealership now and get me some new oil lines
