i cant recall who said it, but something along the lines of:

"electric cars will not find their way into motorsports for the simple reason of sound...watch any car race with the tv muted and tell me how much you like it"

The Stig
Tires screetching, team talkin, pit crews, crashes, it's a whole new race when you pay more attention to tire scrub, than RPM!

I agree though, I am running open exhaust right now, because without it.. it's boring.

None-the-less, that car's fast.

That was just weird to watch.

I like one the posts from a viewer...

" if this is possible on a drag car wtf are these car companies waiting for."

My point exactly.

The crippling effect it would have on the economy might have a bit to do with it.

You can hear all the other drag cars idle in the back. Yeah the noise kinda takes away the whole thing. It would be wierd seeing electric monster truck. Turning to the person next to you and asking them to "keep it down, i'm trying to watch the trucks"

Because a Drag car only has to run for a couple seconds. Making it work for a couple hours is the big deal with electrics.
