Dtp - Need advice - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hey guys. I'm a noob to the whole car show thing... done a few local, smaller events, but nothing like the DTP... I'm getting that last minute doubt. Worrying about how things work there, what things I need to do, and the big one... is my lude even good enough for this show... I think its a nice, clean, mint car... but I've seen some of the cars that are entering... and most the people that are going have thier clubs to at least back them up, not running solo on my first time. Kind of like sex for the first time really... think you got the required equipment, spent a lot of time polishing it up getting it ready, with the chance of humiliation or success... ha

Just make sure you use protection.

If I had a 5th gen that looks as good as yours, I wouldn't worry too much. Sure, there are nicer cars, but for a first time entry, I'd say you're doing pretty well. All that really is at stake is your pride, cause I know your car isn't gonna feel any different after it's all said and done. As for the club backing you up, it's too bad that the Prelude is no longer manufactured and/or mainstream. At the same time that may give you a small edge, because it is in such good condition.

I'd give it a shot, worst thing that could happen is people walk by your car alot... you could just leave it locked up and join in the crowd. Haha, some encouragement, eh?

Yeah true enough... i'm sure it'll be alright. I've done a tun of shit to get ready for the show... and by the time the show hits there wont be a single thing that isnt good as new or better...

I think for a car show like this everyone will have their individual tastes and be drawn to cars that go along with that - your car is clean, and looks amazing.. that will be enough to draw some spectators who admire a good car over a decal with some metal underneath.

The only way you would make an ass out of yourself is if the car is all banged up, and in shitty shape, or if you bring the car in dirty. Clean the hell out of everything haha.

ya just make sure its clean. some clubs even have stock cars representing them. or minor stuff like a intake and exhaust.
