Car & Bike show fund raiser
The main fund raiser for the event...a ride in a police helicopter. There will be other items too...an Edmonton Oilers hockey stick is one of them
Great people/charity working to keep inner city kids off the streets
This is their 8th year I have been going for the last couple...it keeps getting bigger which is kinda cool. Last year there was about 125 cars or so. They have a street dance in the evening. The show & shine starts at noon and goes till 6 I think maybe later
Oh yah this year the Edmonton Reptile and Amphibians Society will be showing off their critters and there is suppose to be a Edmonton Police Canine demonstration
Hopefully it's not rained out !!

So the show went as planned and a really awesome variety of cars and bikes were there....
SUPRAMAN did you go?
I'll put up some pictures in a bit but I just have this to say...especially with the rash of stolen cars
I know a lot of people don't like to show their car too much or talk about it too much because it leaves you wide open
I got a really bad feel from a couple of guys that suddenly showed up there...
They beelined to only certain cars...checking inside way more than outside...like they were looking for security...stereos...and went back to certain cars more than once or twice...
They stood out...you could tell they didn't give a frig about the show and the owners. One guy did all the bebopping around to only certain cars and the other just stayed back...then buddy steps in and with the camera phone starts taking pictures of only previously checked out cars
As fast as they arrived they left...I just got a really bad feel from them...and if any cars suddenly are broken into or stolen....
Other than that the show was a really good turn out and it sounds like the Crystal Kids Foundation got a lot of $ support which they need badly

I was there at about 3:30 or so. It was supposed to start at 1 I thought. There was only a smattering of cars there and, well, it kind of sucked.
Maybe the bulk of the cars had left of something...dunno. |

Sorry you didn't enjoy it.
I got there fairly early and cars were leaving as well but I must have got 100 or so pictures...different...so maybe a lot had left by the time you arrived

| I went there at around 1pm & there was only around 20 cars. I didn't drive the Supra, mostly because it was raining in Spruce grove & I don't drive the supra in the rain.:rolleyes: |
