I just got an old record player at a garage sale, but realized when I got home that it's missing the stylus! Any idea where to get a replacement? Anyone have an extra one they want to sell me? :D
It's a Technics SL-D2 turntable with an Audio Technica AT73LC cartridge. |

| I've bought styluses (stylii?) at Radio Shack in the past. There are plenty of record shops around town that should be able to help you out as well. |

Hmm... any suggestions in addition to the one from Z3r03rr0r?
I recall a high end audio shop on 124st (will visit them tomorrow). |

Dumn question, stylus? would that be another word for the needle?
Axe should be able to ge it.. dunno if they have it in stock... if I was more tight with my Uncle, I'd give him a call.. but I'm not... :P |

haha dang... those things are expensive, was hoping for a deal.
Went to Audio Ark and National Audio Video today - the "entry level" ones started at $70 :(
Stylus = the assembly with the needle. attaches to the cartridge.
Cartridge = attaches to the headshell
Headshell = attaches to the tonearm that connects to the body of the turntable
At least I think... |
