Buffalo Lake Fishing - Click HERE for Original Thread

BARNSEY
Don't know much about this place but my family and I are all doing a camp trip there for about 5 days. Anyways, i don't really know much about this area of Alberta as far as fishing goes....but has has anyone fished in this lake, or know anything about it? What type of fish are there, where are the good spots, etc?

Thanks!

I can email you a depth map of that lake if you want...

Im assuming your fishing from a boat, that would be your best bet for that lake. Its pretty shallow, (15-20' at the deepest). Deep part is the southeast side.

You will catch mostly average sized Pike in there (2-6lb)... and there are small Perch too. Crankbaits work good this time of year for Pike (Firetiger pattern...)

not much to catch there...

That area of Alberta in general has pretty average fishing..

I would go to Sylvan or Gull personally.
