What do you want to know? The 510 is a killer car. I have a bunch of buddies that own 'em.

i want to know wher and what i can do for mods

Talk to Neil at Al's Auto Parts. Him and his dad are Datsun guru's. But Neil is more on the performance side of things.

There are many things you can do to that car to make it quick. But quick how? Quick in a straight line or quick on a road course? Cause that car is king of road courses cause its so damn light. You could change up the carbs, exhaust, and other stuff that can be upgraded with carbarated engines, since I know little about them.

arent those great cars for swaps too?

Gotta love a 510 with an SR in it

and i hate to say it... but rotary 510's are cool too! :)

COuld make some good power and haul ass... imo, i'd build it so I can do corners!

Rotary's can be very quick, but they have one downside, they sound like ASS!!!!!!! Sounds worse than a Honda with a Ractiv muffler.

Tell me about it... I had the "smaller" rotary with stock exhaust and it was the worst sound ever.... Fun as hell though!

Although a turbo something in that car would be fun.

PL510
Just remeber this isn't a "real" 510 - it's the second generation (sort of). It's heavier, has a solid rear axle (I guess so did the old wagon, but all the 2nd gen cars did), and there is little support for these cars ie. no clubs or huge fan base.
On the up side, it is still a Datsun, so lots of parts do interchange between models. It old and easy to work on, and rear wheel drive.

If you want to do any easy motor swap, go for a KA24. No one on here seems to want theirs anymore, it should be cheap. And the nearly bolt in!
