popped ears - Click HERE for Original Thread

Geofux
this past monday my right ear popped which I could live with .. then on tuesday night I felt a massive amount of pressure build up when I was trying to get to sleep, and then my left ear popped. So I have two popped ears right now. Talking and trying to listen to people is really interesting.. but I manage. I usually fuck up more when I'm talking.

Anyways. I'm going to see my doctor on Monday for a follow-up and I'm going to ask him about my ears being popped, but if I could get them back to normal before then I would be really happy.

I've tried the valsalva maneuver but I can't push enough to get it to work.

Any ideas, please and thanks :(

Probably end up needing Ear replacements. Don't get a cheap pair though...they won't last long.

I have no money so I guess I'm in for waiting a little while. Where is a good place to buy them?

If you can't afford a new pair, maybe consider picking up a rebuild kit for your current ears. With them being properly rebuilt, they should be as good as new.

Just like the JDM Cars....JDM Ears are garbage. I wouldn't recommend them at all.

TRDTercelen
you could always go with the shaved ears look

But think of all the attention you'll get with your JDM ears!

I like how this topic isn't even serious in one bit.

The comments are awesome though. :p

You might have some sort of infection.

Geofux
That's what I was thinking. When I started to feel like crap is when I thought I should get checked out for infection... I'll be finding out monday.. but I'm not feeling much better than I was 2 weeks ago. Seems in some ways I'm getting worse too.. :dunno:

If you have fluid buildup behind your ears you can cause some serious damage.

Mine popped when I was a kid, I had blood soaked through my pillow.

I would recommend going to the doctor ASAP. My sister use to have huge issues, and they drilled out her eardrums and put tubes in them.. haha. Fixed the issue.

Does it sound like your in a tin can when you shower?

When mine popped that's what it sounded like, I lost complete hearing in my right ear and I had about 50% in my left. I also woke up with a blood drenched pillow. It took six months to go back to normal. I still can't hear that well out of my right ear now.

On a side note..

You should get some Carbon fiber ears with underglow, the chicks would be chasing you down the streets!

Be careful not to put your replacement ears near your garage door before you put them in. Your mom might run over them.

Then you'll have to put up with her saying "who put these Level 18 ears in here."

Pressure on the ears can be fluid build-up from your sinus if you have had a cold or allergy exposure lately. It might help to take an antihistimine (allergy/cold medication) like Claritin to dry up the gunk a little until you get to the doctor. That would at lest lower the pressure on the ear.

Geofux
I haven't had any blood thankfully..

I've been trying my best to keep my sinuses clear... but me getting pills down doesn't work well (goes back to a surgery I had when I was younger). I've been mainly using some nasal spray but it only works for about 2 hours, and you're only supposed to use it every 8-10 hours :( .. at least the two hours if relief is nice.

Problem with that is you hear sounds backwards. Sounds on your left sound like they're coming from your right and vice versa.

Wow, last night at the meet I could barely hear people talking. I was trying to listen as best I could. When I was looking at Ryan's car I could barely hear him.

Go see your dentist also...you may suffer from a very common ailment... TMJ Syndrome

It can cause problems to muscles...your teeth and also in the joint and ear chamber

I am sometimes a teeth clencher...and have had what seems like a "plugged" ear for periods at a time...most annoying...you are plain deaf in that ear...if it pops it sounds almost deafening...all the gum and ear drops in the world will not unplug your ears !!

I too went to a doctor...they could see no blockage...yet I could barely hear them tell me that

:)

My doctor told me to keep taking antihistamines and keep making sure I get all the crap out that I can.

Seems I'm having some kidney problems and theres a small amount of blood and crystals in my urine ....
