1) Can they track 3 lanes or just one?
2) How fast do you have to be going for a mandatory court appearence?
Thanks,
Rob |

Haha, oh boy Rob, oh boy.
I had a photo radar ticket on STA Trail heading south, its a 3 lane road.. and they caught me. Im pretty sure they can track all three, the picture is fairly wide, and then they show you a close up.
Aaand 50 and beyond is a mandatory court appearance.
How fast were you going, how much is the ticket? Was it in the aristo? |

| Is it still a mandatory court appearence with a photo radar ticket? I thought they couldn't prove who was driving, so would they summon the owner of the car? |

mandatory court appearance? No, you pay it and be done with it.
You have the right to go fight it in court like any other ticket but with photo its pretty hard to have any excuse. They have all the bases covered on there end.
I got one on lessard I think the other day, one of those fake electrical boxes, ughhh but there was a person beside me so i wonder if they will still send it? (he was going about 75, I was doing 65-70 in a 60 zone. I saw the flash |

(a) in the case of a vehicle that was in motion,
(i) the owner of the vehicle was not driving the vehicle, and
(ii) no other person was driving the vehicle with the owner’s expressed or implied consent,
and
(b) in the case of a vehicle that was parked,
(i) the owner did not park the vehicle, and
(ii) no other person parked the vehicle with the owner’s expressed or implied consent.
(3) An owner who is guilty of an offence under this section is not liable to imprisonment in respect of that offence or in respect of a default of a fine imposed in respect of that offence.
******
50 km/h + is a manditory court apperance, As the owner of the vehicle you are liable. You still need attend court and explain why your vehicle was doing 50+ km/h over... |

I got one on whitemud yesterday, right at the beginning of a construction zone... ass.
I was wondering, how long before the actualy flash does it record your speed? I was probably going 90 when i passed him, but about 75 dby the time it flashed. |

| Well.. going off of regular camera operations, the flash usually lights up the vehicle for the photo to be taken but it will have your speed by then. Id say once you're in front of the van by 2-3 lengths it will take your speed? Just a guess. My photo radar was taken at about 5-6 lengths for the picture. |
