hey all, i have a car that i need to get from the north end to beaumont. about 35km, or 40 if you take the yellowhead/henday. if anyone has a 2-wheel trailer or anything, or knows of anyone who owns a towtruck and wouldn't mind a couple extra bucks, pm me or call my cell at 293-1881.

i'm nota rich man, but i could definitely throw a few bucks your way.

thanks,

how much of a rush are you in?

does the car run at all(aka can it be driven onto the trailer, or does it need to be winched up?)

I can do it next time I'm in the city, if you're willing to pay to rent the u-haul(bout $45 after taxes for the dolly, $60ish for the hauler)

hey man, no it doesn't run, so it would probably be pretty tough to get on a full trailer, but i'm sure a good shove can get it on the 2-wheel dolly.

when would you be in town next?

I hand winched a rwd 79 celica with 3 flat tires onto a hauler backwards myself.. it's not hard.. just takes some time.. I have portable electric winch as well...

Quite possibly Friday or Saturday.. I'm leaning towards Friday...

I almost always have the hand winch with me... either trailer works fine, which ever you're willing to pay for. (although one u-haul guy told me if the car doesn't have a plate you're not supposed to use the dolly... could be because the dollies don't have plates). I've towed with both.. no biggie.. just can't back the dolly up with a car on it.

oh, ok a winch would come in handy for sure. and it would be nice to get it on a full trailer, the driveway in beaumont isn't the friendliest to get into.

i AM trying to get the car moved as soon as i can, the fellow i bought it from needs the space, and i don't want to put him out any more than i have to. but it's proving hard to find a way, as i just moved to the city and don't really know anyone with a truck.

so if i can get it moved soon i will, but i should be able to let you know by wednesday if i need your gracious help

thanks a bunch dude. will you be checking back here, or do you want me to give you a call?

I get e-mail when threads like this get replied too.

you can back a dolly... just not with a car on it.. so backing it to get the car isn't an issue... like I said either will work

SilverNeonRacer
How'd you make out? Still need a tow?

blame
hey, sorry man, i haven't been on here in a few days..

yeah i got it towed, thanks a bunch anyway though dude!
