| Looking for someone who is able to work on my Rx7 that I have recently picked up from Japan. Looking to do a tune up, cold air intake, seat install, and gauge installs! coolant light that keeps coming on should be your first
concern forget everything else untill you get this figured out.
this could be a sign of a bad coolant o ring
which means the engine will need to be pulled apart and
rebuilt.

or low coolant. or low coolant in the cold start not sure if the fd jdm have that. either it's a first concern. |

| do you need to keep the cold start in FD's? i know you can just rip'em out in the FC. |

if your low coolant light keeps coming on you may be in serious shit. The 13B rotary is prone to throwing coolant seals and then your engine is pretty well toast. I would perform a champagne bubble test by opening the filler neck cap up when the engine is good and warm, and see if you see and bubbles. If you do you are prolly looking at a rebuild.
As for the mechanic, tuning, and what not there is really noone in edmonton that i have found that will do any of that. When i first bought my car i looked around for people, but rotaries are so finiky that one so/so tune can pop ur engine just like that. I have done 99.9% of my own labour but for anything i cant do and a good tune i use rx7 specalists in calgary.

| Yeah im pretty sure JDM FDs dont have the the Precat/EGR or AWS, I think JDM FCs lack those as well tho I havent checked. |

Wow there is a lot of irony in your post. A lot of us senior rx7 owners (or old rx7 owners) will find some things that you said funny and unbelieveable.

haha sry if i sounded ironic, just my experiences so far have led me down this path. Also i would love to find a good shop in edmonton(or person) that works on rotaries, but so far my search for one hasnt turned up much. I may be 100% wrong about this.
as for the Rx7 specs, i dunno i got some work done their last time my FD was in the shop and it went well, but maybe im missing sumthing from there. also would love to find sumone around here that would work on it.
as for the coolant seals ok i may have jumped the gun, it could be a air bubble or somthing like that.
i didnt mean to come off know it all or anything, just my opinion

we work on them from time to time at park and being a dealership we have access to mazda technical information
i'm not going to say that we are the best or the most informed but curt and/or i can fix your car. you can call the dealership if you want to take it there. depending on what the problem is we can do it under the table but are dealership doesnt let us do work on cars when it doesnt get a cut.
