Downpipe sound - Click HERE for Original Thread

Tech2
Hey you guys running downpipes, does it change or increase the engine sound much?

Invalid Zero
It's allot quieter than no downpipe.

Tech2
Like medium increase in volume, or HOLY FUCK MY EARS ARE BLEEDING! sort of increase?

Invalid Zero
<cough>I'm joking<cough>

Tech2
Ah fuck, just got that one! :D

Umm, when I gutted my DP it sounded a lil bit more agressive with stock exhaust.

When I installed my 3 inch exhaust I put on a 3 inch downpipe, and it sounds like a beast. Nothing overly loud.

Tech2
Just put on a 3 inch exhaust, much deeper sound, noticeable increase in volume. Thinking about the 3 inch downpipe, don't want it so bad if it's gonna get much louder.

What exhaust did you go with?

stealth
No it won't be much louder.

I went with Berk. Yourself?

mr2boi
mine's super loud. not sure if its the dp fault. but its alot louder than last year.

Tech2
I went for the emspowered exhaust. Couldn't pass up the sale price. Too bad I'm not around or I'd have picked up your intercooler.

And holy fuck was that stock b-pipe a bitch to get out. I love how it's engineered to fit with about negative 1cm clearance. Aftermarket exhaust should pay for itself in like 2 trips to the mechanic.

I love the look of the berk downpipe with the flex section. Of course for that price you can get 2 emspowered pipes, if they're still for sale.
