Hey, so basically this is whats up:
In My 1998 Ford F150, the ABS light decided to turn on this morning as i started up as i needed it to do something, so i took it for the run realizing i lost much of my brake power.
Additional Infromation:
front brakes(rotors) changed recently(within the month)
Last night to avoid some idiot kid wanna be street racer i had to slam the brakes on but the thing is even my buddy said that the abs didnt even go on all my brakes just locked up:eek:
so this morning after the run i came to the conclusion with my buddy same one who was with me that it was the ABS censors.
Any idea or additional info? |

Get the code scanned, it could be a vareity of different things from abs computer to an individual wheel sensor etc..etc..

when your abs light comes on it does not effect the brakes in terms of stoping power, it just means you will have no abs. your brakes will operate as normal.

Sounds like you haven't checked your brake fluid for a while, and the reservoir emptied down to the master cylinder. If that's the case, check for seeping brake lines, and bleed out your master cylinder (a slight PITA, as you'll most likely have to bench blled it, and then bleed out the entire system after).

buy a master cylinder. sounds like its bypassing an internal seal.

Fixed, rusty brake line had a hole in it therefore leaking out my fluid.
