Hey there guys, going to do some upgrading to my fuel system on my car. Anybody installed a AFPR and a 190 Walboro in a 1g Talon? If so, any advice?
Thanks
John

The FPR is pretty straight forward... But honestly, with that fuel pump a FPR isn't needed. Generally if you run a 255 (or higher) you should get a FPR, but even with the 255 there are a lot of people who use the stock unit with no issues (not recommended though). If you haven't ordered one yet IMO save your money.

With the fuel pump use wd40 on the 10mm bolts ontop of the fuel tank and let it sit for a while. You will need a line wrench to get the fuel line off the sending unit, it's a real bitch. On my '92 when I tried taking it off with two line wrenches it bent everything. I ended up just cutting the line then putting it in a vice. You will also need to transfer over the ends off your stock fuel pump, the o-ring and plastic nozzle. Um, it also wouldn't be a bad idea to vacuum off the top of the fuel tank before you open it up, on mine there was a shitload of sand/clay baked on that fell it (didn't matter cause it was a parts car anyways).

GL it should only take you a half hour from start to finish.
