Nice. No 2nd gen NSX, but it looks like it'll be a good DB9 competitor.

My same thoughts exactly.

I still prefer the older generation though..

4thGenLude
I like the paint job on the first one!!!

AcousticAudio
Kinda looks like a new accord on steroids.. No comparison to the older nsx's.

Invalid Zero
Looks heavy.:thumbdown

Honestly every time I see a new nsx concept, the more I think that unless they just make it with the exact same body as the older ones, but with some kind of new drivetrain, i will be disappinted. I mean, this is going to be a nice car nonetheless, just dont call it a nsx. Just like when dodge came out with the new charger and made it a 4door.. like wtf.. Charger name ruined.

project.D.
THAT'S an NSX?!:( Damn...

Tech2
Lets have a show of hands for hoping the camo is covering a whole lot of foam padding and a fake roof. And a mid placed engine... but that's not gonna happen.

iLLlegal
im kinda dissapointed with it. like said before. dont call it an nsx. but im def painting my car in that camo. so ballin

Graphicdude
This is like one of those cars that pics don't do it justice, eg. GT-R, Evo X. I think in person it will be pure sex. As for the weight issue, I think there is no getting away from it nowadays. The Gt-R is like 4000 lbs isn't it?

I do like the cylinder shut off idea, really cool. But the price tag is a little high IMO. 90,000 pounds? Which is like 180,000 bucks here?! Too much considering you can get other vehicles cheaper than this.

Tech2
180k for this, or 210 for an LFA?

There is not much NSX left in there for me to be interested in. It'd be more accurate to call this the next generation of Integra.

crzyone
Front end looks like a pokemon.....

I also don't agree with naming it an NSX. It's a completely different layout, completely different car.

It would have been cool to make a new NSX with a longitudinal V-8 midship, or a turbo 6. Replacing the old transverse mounted 6 would have been a neat idea.

If I wanted a FR V-10 I think I would buy an SRT-10. Way more value for the dollar if the new NSX is really $180k.

looks like an squished 350z to me

That's "a" squished 350Z.

Grammar Police FTMFW!!

The Stig
You're a squished 350Z. Dickface.

That car is hot, you're all dumb IMHO.

Aston Martin meets Supra = New NSX FTW.

With real paint, that car'll be hawt! I'm bored, so I'm going to photoshop a real paint job on it.

Hey, don't you have a diff to break or something?!

The Stig
Careful what you say, your rear wheel might just fall off again, for no good reason, at all, what so ever.... ... fag.

Anyway!

The car could be cool. It needs a trunk, that's why it looks gay sauce.

Tech2
Car's alright... but no NSX in it. Just give it a new name.

NightmareMX6
I like the design of the car, but as for the name I could go either way. I understand the want for the name change as this is a 100% different car.

The Stig
I'm going to go on a rant here;

Cliff notes: Stop Being stupid horses!

OKAY SO! "There's no Charger in that" "there's no NSX" in that, etc... about all the names of cars that are bought back.

What is an NSX to you? Is it just the low sitting, two seater, mid-engine car from the 90's? Or is it a high-performance, supercar-like 2-seater sports car that revolutionizes the automotive industry of it's day? That's what the NSX was, an ultimate "one-off" creation, new this, new that, new everything!

Perhaps THIS new NSX will do that, and therefore in essence, be exactly what the NSX is. If you like the old one, and just want someone to sell you a 2009 NSX, I'll gladly write-up some paper work stating the 20 year old car is infact new.

End of rant.

Catch my drift though? It's like telling Picaso he's a fag, for doing a painting you don't agree with, it's his... let him do what he wants with it. If you decide thereafter you don't like it, then there it is, you don't like it!

Well, it's more like calling picasso an uncreative namer for painting a cow and calling it a tree, because even though he likes cows now his last tree painting was cool and everyone liked it.

I mean, he can call his tree painting anything he wants, but calling it a cow doesn't mean it is one.

But whatever, I'll be looking forward to the next civic minivan and corvette SUV, maybe I'll take a ford F-150 subcompact while we're at it. :)

I'll reserve final judgment until the cammo comes off, but my hopes aren't high.

Fazda
its a nice car thats for sure, but it does nothing to make me think it could be a new generation nsx, the pervious had more of an exotic look to it. that just looks like every other two door coupe out there with a big motor.:dunno:

Okay, so when you go on and have children, you won't be the least upset if none of them look like you whatsoever or even had any of your traits?

True, a great car is a great car and in the end, thats what matters. However, don't bother using the same name as its predecessor if it shares no characteristics which made the previous generation distinctive. This is the whole point of using a specific name, its to build familiarity and loyalty. The ability to upgrade a product through generations and fine tune it each time.

Don't hand me a pear when I ask for an apple just because they both fall from a tree.

No, you're an idiot. A proper analogy would be be Picasso going back to Realism or Caricatures and calling it Cubism and expecting us not to question him. We don't have a problem with the painting, we have a problem with him calling it something its not.

And to the OP, The car looks good and I'm sure I'll like it when its officially revealed but like the LF-A, I'd rather spend my money on a "slower" car but more exciting design/name/experience. There's more to a super/hyper car then just numbers and a silky body.

I only did it because it's Rob, and if I made a mistake, he'd be the grammar cop.... :p

The Stig
I wasn't talking about what STYLE of art Picasso did, I was saying, "if he wants to put an eye up there instead of down there, let him do it, because it's his work." The same WAY, "If Acura wants to change the style of their car, let them do it, it's THEIR work." Nothing more, nothing less.

Anyway!

It looks nothing like the old NSX, and no-one likes that part. Other than that though, it's a good looking car, a bit late though IMO.
