FS: 60 Gb PS3 one of the first ones that came out. - Click HERE for Original Thread

I have for sale one of the first PS3s that came out. It is the 60gb version, so it has the older firmware, which i am told is more sought after i am not sure why, (whether its the firmware or the console itself) but i have a couple of friends that are really into video games and thats what they tell me. It can always be updated by downloading the newer firmware, but most people want this. i am not very into gaming, so i am selling it. i thought it would be cool to have (which it is), but its really not being used so i might as well sell it.

i checked on ebay, and they are selling for apprx $500, but you have to pay for shipping and stuff.
i am putting the price at $500 OBO

the price is obo, so please dont trash the thread i know alot of people have been doing this lately lol. instead just let me know what you think is a fair price (by pm). the price i set is going by what it is on ebay, and what others have told me. so again dont leave dumbass comments pls, just post courteously.

thanks!

does it comes with any games? 1x controller ?

al87
hey sorry ya, it comes with:
PS3
HD component cables or HDMI cable
1 Controller
1 USB cable for charging the controller
Power cable

Just to let you know this console is not sought after because of the firmware it is sought after because it contains more features than any other version of the PS3. It is able to play SACDs, has all of the media card slots, and above all has full ps2/ps1 backwards compatibility due to the fact that it actually contains the physical hardware of the ps2 inside (no emulation like the 80GB model).

Unless there is something to do with the firmware and if that is the case please disregard the above statement and let me know what is up with the firmware. :D

haha no your right i think its more of what you said that makes it more sought after.
but i also think there is something about the firmware or something, but maybe i am wrong. in either case all of what you said sounds like a big plus.
im thinking i should just keep it
