If someone hits me in a parking lot and run what can I do?
This is the situation I came late to school and parked my car was fine noone was next me me. I come back at the end of school and some ass hit me now what am I going to need for proof? If I take a pic of his bumper that is scratched with my paint on it is that good? Chances are hes going to wash it so I he has a scratch on his bumper that is really clean would that work? Also If I have footage of him coming late into the parking lot?

Im sorry for the long post I just have no clue what to do

AudiInProgress
take lots of pics
measure the height of the bumpers, put the measuring tape beside his bumper and take pics, and then tape beside your damage and take pics...

maybe even try to get the cops to come down and check it out right there before moving

Well most schools have video camera's in the parking lot. You don't have to prove who was driving it, just what vehicle it was. Um, if this was high school cars have to be registered with the school (at least in Sherwood Park they do). You can get a list of all vehicles and use it with attendance for the day or something...

Scratches alone probably aren't enough but I don't know, phone insurance.

You also could confront the guy, if he doesn't own up put a knife in his throat!

Pictures are a great idea as well, I took a bunch when I was hit.
