Anyone have an HSBC Premier account? I'm thinking of upgrading mine soon and don't know if it's worth it.
Let me know if you are using it and put your pros and cons down.
Cheers, |

since noone answered in an hour, i'll volunteer with the information i know.
I have had a similar account with HSBC in EGYPT for about 8 years now. It is simply a savings account with no fees. The interest is calculated on your minimum balance of the month and added every month. Its only disadvantage i think is that you cant write cheques with that account but u can pay bill, set up reccuring payments.. etc
I'd read the fine print if i were you but i have been contemplating switching to HSBC from CIBC except for 2 things: When i came here almost 5 years ago the staff were rude and arrogant (cuz i am a student), and they didn't have many ATMs and branches around. Also they had no idea how to integrate with other HSBC worldwide which would have been the only reason to choose them.
I hope their attitude has changed now since they are trying to get a bigger slice out of the personal banking market as i understand. |

I'm finding that the newest branches that have opened are indeed trying to follow the Premier mentality. The brutal thing is, the only ATMs that don't accept my card are the HSBC ones :S Besides that, there isn't much I can complain about.
I have no bills to pay or anything like that, so I don't need fancy features. |
