So i show up tonight with my thunder valley pass a $300 per person ticket. the event gets rained out they tell us THAT TICKET HOLDERS GET NO REFUNDS! NO TICKETS FOR FUTURE NO NOTHING.
I CANT UNDERSTAND WHY CASTROL WOULD PUT THERE NAME TO THESE SCAM ARTISTS........ |

Yes it was disappointing to have the event cut short...this happened couple years ago too...
I see why you are pissed about the $300 cover...I just bought the cheaper $130 pass
I guess cause this is just a 12 show gig...Edmonton is lucky to be included and they can't control the weather...sucks yes but being it's an IHRA event they do things differently
Suppose to be pretty good weather tomorrow and Sunday...hope you enjoy those days at least

I like the caps... yes it is a 3 day event and i paid 600 bucks for 3 days.
Then i hear the track had lots of these passes left so they sold these same tics for 140 per person. great..... just feeling screwed by the track again! |

No track. I meant as it being a BIG event life goes on...if it was some small track event maybe they would be more apt to give you a make up ticket...like Street Legals for example
Think it was 2 years ago...it was raining thru most of this event...oh well we sat around...talked to the driver's not much you can do about Mother Nature

The top fule cars have been down the track 1 time and that was today. they made 0 runs on fri
tonight got rained out too
i am a fan of all racing... I hate supporting these clowns, but that is where the big events are. If you dont support your local events you wont have any!!!!!!!!!

But IHRA isn't a local event, and Castrol isn't putting it on to support anybody locally. Castrol's putting their events on to make money and sell their product. And they've proven once again that they don't care about you or me, Mike. They just want your money.
Castrol Raceway can go rot in hell for all I care, personally speaking. |

I went today and it got rained out. Yea it fucking sucks...but too damn bad, its the weather. If you have a problem with it, talk to God not Castrol Raceway. :rolleyes:

Well untill we have another option i guess i will just suck it up.
If you want to see nitro cars to castrol you go...
On that note....... show me any track owner that is not in it for the money.... why would you go through the b.s. of hosting big events if you cant make a dollar! |

Oh, of course they're in it for the money, I can't imagine anybody doing otherwise.
I just figure that you can be in it for the money, and still be fair to people (on rainouts, for example). It's obvious that these guys don't have any intention of being fair. |

totaly agreed.............. but when you are the only show in town....
I did get to see all i wanted i spent 40 hours at the track over the last 3 days...

He had is engine explode tonight. chunks hit his feat and legs and he was flown to u of a for surgury.... realy nice guy he signed one of his broken crank shafts for my collection before he got hurt. |

went to castrol raceway saturday around 7pm, paid $60,,, first time to see/feel very powerful drag cars. my ears almost explode as i am pretty close to the starting point ..only seen it at tv so this one is really a big deal for me....
around 8:30 pm . rain came in and the track is pretty much soak... it sucks but , who can stop the rain.....
seen everyone is working really hard trying to dry the track for a couple of hours ... but the weather won't give in...
my point neither castrolraceway or the league itself not be blame for it.... no freakin regrets for that 1hr/30min of nonstop action, hopefully next year would be better.. would love to see some jet engine truck like shockwave in it ... :D |
