Wow, I tore apart an A6 yesterday that looked almost similar to that, it would have thrown a rod through the block as well but it let loose at idle so it only mangles the rod and part of the main girdle...
Why did it let go like that?
Low on oil and spun a bearing or something?

Were you driving in St. Albert a couple nights ago (tuesday or wednesday) past the wendys off st. albert trail at like 3 or 4 in the morning?
I saw a yellow CRX driving past me and he gave it some gas and it clearly sounded like rod knock to me :p |

Yup, that was me. :) I thought the rod knocking sounded a lot meaner than it did without it!
The engine was old, tired, worn out, burning tons of oil... it was time for her to pass on. B16 soon :) Hopefully before this Friday it will all be ready. |

haha this was too funny yesterday.
me and kevin are just crusin i had my windows down i hear this loud knocking so im lookign at my gauges and turn down the radio cause i think its my car then i look up at kevins car and sparks and smoke is just billowing out the back of it and he even drove it for like 2 blocks before he pulled off to the side. fucking lil honda engine didnt give up. |

Yeah, that was me... I suddenly had no oil pressure so I wanted to check it out before trying to go further.
I tried to catch up with you with all I had, but the engine just couldn't do it. I think that contributed to the death of the engine, too ;) |
