| #1: how bad is the lag? |

| if you think lag is when the turbo kicks in around 3k rpm's, and dies out around 5500-6, my friend's dad's 2.0T quatty wagon does this too, its the auto/tip tronic trans model (not saying this is the problem lol). |

This man speaks the truth, minus the "turn up the boost" part. |

That's not lag. That's the boost threshold. It's what happens when you've got a 3600lb car with a low comp 2.0 engine until the boost threshold is reached.
It's never going to be the torque monster your dad is looking for. |

naw man, toss some 2500HD badges on the sides, and it will make moar torque than any chev out there, hybrid german-american torque-machine lol.

| A less restrictive exhaust will let it spool up sooner and quicker. |

Intake, exhaust and a decent SMIC (low drop, not some shitty ebay thing) will improve it. Try to up the boost, maybe my wastegate spring is worn out but my car builds boost faster with having a boost controller on.
But seeing as its a 07 with I assume warrantee a mbc is the only thing you can take off in 30 seconds if you want to go to the dealer. A warrantee friendly way to get ride of all your problems would be an rs4.... |

hey i got an s4 for sale. full tq at 1800rpm. lol no lag at all. its quite nice, im trading it in for a new 2.0t here this up coming week, i know they have chips for the 2.0t but im not sure if you would get away with it.
otherwise slap on a bigger DP, open the exhuast and get an intake, you should see a couple psi from that. |

| Go down to Calgary (I think the shop was VW werks) and have them install APR. Get the three chip modes - 91, 93(Octane) and stock. You can change modes through the cruise control. Fill up at the husky(94 octane) a few blocks from the shop and have a much faster trip back home then u did on the way there. ;) |

Or don't. Husky 94 is not the same as a pure petroleum 93/94 octane. Tuned for it, it provides more power, but on a car tuned for regular 93/94 ethanol blend falls short. I did the whole husky 94 thing, and settled on a tune for 91 octane using Shell V-Power.
Moral of the story: Alberta has shit gas. |

I agree, except the low comp part!! |

| Like some have stated... Make it easier for it to induce air, and exhaust. Also.. If you were to add a bit of timing to the lower RPMs.. That'll help a bit, But.. Don't try that by yourself.. Have it done by a pro. |
